Dalai Lama once said: „Our main goal in life is to help the others…and if you can’t help, at least don’t hurt them.”
Before Christmas the work team of the project “CAN and HELP” in Romania had the opportunity to meet some special children, without parents. With other 45 volunteers, the team went to one of the orphanages in Pitesti, ‘Gavana Foster Home’, where they brought presents… This is a place where a man with a big heart decided to be the adoptive father of 29 children, boys and girls, with ages between 3 and 17 years. It’s a place where joy, silence, longing for parents, love and peace combine.
Each volunteer tried to gather as many clothes, toys and sweets as he could, sorted them and packed them in colorful boxes. The visit was a surprise for all children, so their happiness when they saw the volunteers was bigger. After the children got their presets, they presented the apartments where they live and, of course, they told their stories…
Every minute spent with these children was a lesson of life for the team of the project and a moment of love and bless.
